The first official day of summer has finally come and we couldn’t wait to talk about summer trends. We talked to some of our team here at Campus Classics and we each picked our top summer picks and trends we are currently loving. So let's dive into our team's 5 summer must-haves!
Ali’s Pick: Comfort Color Colors USA Retriver Tee
Ali’s Why: It really does not get any more American and any more "frat" than red, white, blue, and a golden retriever. If you haven't figured it out yet, we love showcasing our office dog, Max, on as many shirts as possible and this is definitely my favorite of the bunch.
This shirt is the absolute embodiment of summer time in America with the fireworks in the background, the patriotic bandana, and the world's most perfect dog right there in the middle. You could easily wear this tee with a pair of jeans to dress it up a little or just some gym shorts for when you want to keep it casual. It also looks great paired with our maroon or our blue retro ball cap because why not add some more patriotic colors to your outfit?
And a bonus, we also have this design for all of our sororities! Because, trust me, they love our retriever tees as much as the fraternities do!
Ryan’s Pick: Comfort Colors Short Sleeve Jeep Tee
Ryan’s Why: I've picked the Comfort Colors Short Sleeve Jeep Tee as my summer must have item because it represents adventuring and exploring! As a Jeep owner myself, I love taking a drive to a new place and taking in all of the new sights and sounds during the summer while my Jeep is topless and doorless!
Kyla’s Pick: Super Soft Tie Dye Tee
Kyla’s Why: The tie dye trend came in hot last year and is one I secretly hope doesn’t stop anytime soon. This tee is the perfect low key tie dye so it isn’t in your face and has a simple minimalist design. It is one of my favorite shirts that we launched this year and that we have on the site!
Not to mention this shirt is softer than anything you have felt! Think of the softest blanket you have in your room and I promise you that this shirt is softer. It is so soft you'll never want to take it off, you'll live in this shirt all summer long! The softness of this shirt is and the subtle tie dye is what made me fall in love with it. It it is the perfect lightweight tee, making it perfect tee for beach days, cookouts, or just hanging around with your friends. It would pair perfectly with one of our bucket hats that Becca loves so much!
I also love the sorority version that gives you all the retro vibes and is honestly too cute not to have in your closet!
Becca’s Pick: White Title Bucket Hat
Becca’s Why: It’s the summer of the bucket hat, calling it now! This fun and carefree style just works for all your summer adventures, while also keeping the sun out of your eyes, like a good hat should. Each style we have is embroidered with beautiful detail and really makes the design pop. And while the title bucket hat with the arched names and bright pops of color is my favorite, each bucket hat design is so fun! Just find the vibe that works with your style.
Besides, you always need a go to summer cap so give this guy a shot! Just picture beach days out in the sun, a relaxing night on the town, taking a quick walk around the neighborhood - this hat will be the perfect companion for it all.
Emily’s Pick: Life is Better at the Lake Tee
Emily’s Why: In the summertime, one of my favorite things to do is take a trip to the lake. Relaxing on the shore, swimming, cooking out and being with friends make it the perfect activity for a sunny day. And now that we’re starting to be able to gather again, I especially can’t wait for my first lake trip this summer! This Comfort Colors tee from our Adventure Apparel collection really says it all. It’s perfect for pairing with jeans and sandals, or, because of the relaxed fit of Comfort Colors, it could even be worn as a swimsuit coverup for lake days!
